Game Meat a Wild Superfood

Humans have come from an incredibly long ancestry line of meat-eaters. Our ancestors began as hunters and gathers and developed into our current “farmed hunting” today. In the hunter and gatherer communities, meat played a significant role. It was a major source of their dietary energy. If we look past any issues people have with ethics and athstetics of being a carnivore, meat is an extremely high grade source of nutrients.
Today we eat primarily large amounts of industrially produced farmed meat. This supermarket meat that we all consume can have profound effect on our health. Don’t get me wrong, super market meat is a financially viable way of getting meat but you must monitor the amount consumed much closer. The meat found in super markets is profoundly different then wild game meat, this is particularly evident in the lipid profile and chemical pollutant content. (If you would like me to go into detail on the difference and why it exists leave a comment)
What is so great about game meats?
If we look at wild venison and kangaroo meat we find it to be extremely high in vitamins and minerals such as:
- B6
- B12
- Protein
- Niacin
- Thiamine
- Riboflavin
- Selenium
- Zinc
- Potassium
- Copper
- Phosphorus
- Iron
- Pantothenic acid
- Magnesium
These are all essential for good health and performance.
Medical Benefit:
A study done by the University of Australia in the British Journal of Nutrition in 2010 found that kangaroo meat in comparison to Kobe beef was significantly lower in creating blood level inflammatory markers associated with chronic diseases. A study in 2010 published by the journal of microbiology and biotechnology made a discovery when looking at venison. They found a new compound in the protein; antioxidative peptide. Research found that this peptide inhibited the production of oxidative compounds, which are believed to be involved in the development of chronic diseases such as cancer and cardiovascular disease.
When ever you can replace your supermarket meat with organic or wild game meat, do so. This kind of meat has significant health benefits from attaining your nutrients to super food properties. The super food properties reduce risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease (particularly ones associated with cholesterol).
Thanks for sharing these kinds of nutritional facts now i will start to eat that for my fitness can you suggest me a shop for the Game Meat in Brisbane
